Oculus Moves to Burlingame

August 22, 2018

Burlingame residents say hello to your new neighbor! Oculus, Facebook’s virtual reality company. They will be moving into a new office building in the Bayshore area of Burlingame, 300 Airport Blvd. If you remember from way back, this was once home to the old drive-in theatre.

The goal of Facebook is to fulfill the growing workforce and become a positive influence on the community. City officials couldn’t be happier. Local businesses are sure to benefit from the employees and visitors alike.

Burlingame was chosen not just for the available land, but its amazing location. This is the perfect midpoint between the SF & Menlo Park Headquarters, plus the hop from SFO. All set to the backdrop of the beautiful nature of the Bay.

What does this mean for residents? We are all thinking “great, more traffic!”. But Facebook is focusing on alternative modes of transportation. The city is working on alleviating possible congestion as well. There will be a growth in businesses; new retail, restaurants, & offices will follow the Oculus move.

One of the biggest impacts from this will of course be on real estate. Homeowners rejoice on the amazing investment you are living in. And home buyers, a home here is only going to increase in value! We continue to see growth in the market and don’t see it slowing down any time soon.

Welcome to Burlingame Oculus.
